نبذة مختصرة : Cilj rada bio je prikazati utjecaj fiskalnog deficita na gospodarski rast Republike Hrvatske i utjecaj automatskih stabilizatora na kretanje javnih rashoda i prihoda. Nakon teorijskog pregleda fiskalne politike i fiskalnog deficita izneseni su rezultati empirijskog istraživanja. Dvije postavljene hipoteze su u konačnici prihvaćene, a istraživanje se provodi regresijskom analizom gdje se statistička značajnost modela testirala ANOVA testom. Analizom je donesen zaključak da smanjenje fiskalnog deficita utječe na povećanje gospodarskog rasta te da automatski stabilizatori nemaju značajan utjecaj na kretanje ukupnih javnih prihoda i rashoda. Podaci za istraživanje su prikupljeni za razdoblje od 2003. do 2018. godine. Kao jedan od doprinosa ovog rada mogu poslužiti predložene preporuke i smjernice nositeljima fiskalne politike u Republici Hrvatskoj koje su dane na kraju ovog rada. ; The aim of this paper was to present the impact of the fiscal deficit on the economic growth of the Republic of Croatia and the impact of automatic stabilizers on the movement of public expenditures and revenues. After a theoretical review of fiscal policy and fiscal deficit, we presented the results of empirical research. Two hypotheses were ultimately accepted and the study is performed by regression analysis where the statistical significance of the model was tested by ANOVA test. A conclusion that the fiscal deficit influences the increase in economic growth and Automatic stabilizers have no significant effect on the movement of total public revenue and expenditure. Data for the study were collected in the period from 2003 to 2018. One of the contributions of this paper is the proposed recommendations and guidelines for fiscal policy makers in the Republic of Croatia, which are given at the end of this paper.
