When the parents are unable to exercise their responsibilities and cannot guarantee the necessary care for the child, or when there is some dangerous situation against the child, there are procedural ways to solve each situation, so as not to leave the child helpless. The child has their own self-determination, which evolves according to their maturation and increasing age. The term self-determination is used to indicate an autonomy that can be concerning to different life projects, existential choices, experiences, and manifestations of subjectivity.
