En las páginas que siguen, el autor valora la posibilidad de establecer niveles de igualdad cultural en los distintos rangos poblacionales. Para ello, estudia, de manera previa, el surgimiento y la evolución de las distintas políticas culturales, tomando como referentes los modelos desarrollados en Estados Unidos y Europa desde el siglo XIX a nuestros días. Consigue, así, aislar los distintos factores que causan la desigualdad cultural, para, por último, esbozar sus propuestas para el caso concreto de Chile. ; In the following pages, the author examines the possibility of establishing levels of cultural equality among diverse populations. To this end, he begins by studying the emergence and evolution of different cultural policies, referencing models developed in the United States and Europe from the 19th century to modern day. In doing so, he is able to isolate different factors that cause cultural inequality and concludes by outlining his proposals for the specific case of Chile.
