ACCESSIBILITY AND ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY IN THE TRAINING OF THE LIBRARIAN PROFESSIONAL ; A ACESSIBILIDADE E A TECNOLOGIA ASSISTIVA NA FORMAÇÃO DO PROFISSIONAL BIBLIOTECÁRIO

People with disabilities need to be included in different sectors of society, including environments such as the university library, so that they become potential users and can enjoy all products and services without giving up their autonomy and independence. It is understood the importance that Librarianship students have in their curriculum, subjects that address aspects of accessibility and Assistive Technology so that they become sensitized and aware professionals for the development of products and services that include the person with disability in the university library. In this way, this article aims to identify whether there are courses offered in undergraduate courses in Librarianship in Brazil that address any aspect related to accessibility or Assistive Technology for the professional training of librarians. A literature review was carried out in scientific databases on studies aimed at the professional training of librarians in relation to accessibility and Assistive Technology. As a result, it was identified that the discussion about accessibility and Assistive Technology in higher education is still at an incipient stage. The knowledge of the undergraduate student in Librarianship about accessibility, Assistive Technology and Brazilian Sign Language, provides a more inclusive vision for the development of tools, devices and methodologies for the inclusion of the disabled user, as a participant in the products and services offered by the university library. ; No Brasil, a legislação que contempla a inclusão das pessoas com deficiência avançou nos últimos anos.
