نبذة مختصرة : Occupational sensorineural hearing loss is a chronic bilateral disease of the inner ear, which develops as a result of exposure to acoustic production factors. Etiological factors: prolonged exposure to noise and vibration. As a result of impaired microcirculation and capillary stasis, ischemia and hypotrophy of sensitive cells and nerve elements appear. Dystrophic (changeable, reversible), and then destructive (structural or irreversible) changes develop as a result of prolonged operation of the auditory organ in the mode of increased noise, increased afferent impulses and increased fatigue in the auditory analyzer. The morphological basis of occupational hearing loss is mainly necrotic changes in the organ of Corti and the spiral ganglion. Clinical symptoms are characterized by hearing loss, tinnitus, headache, dizziness, nausea and vomiting. Diagnosis of professional sensorineural hearing loss is based on anamnesis data, general examination of the patient, the results of a hearing test (threshold and suprathreshold audiometry) and vestibular tests.
