DHUAFA HOUSING IN LHOKSEUMAWE CITYBy:ANA RAIHAN PUTRINIM : 1304104010003Dhuafa housing in the city of Lhokseumawe is a goverment and the Lhokseumawe citizen effort to provide decent housing for the economically listed people below the poverty line. In this design, the author tries to present the concept of dhuafa housing which is a form of the harmonization of environment and social life. It planned as teh built environment. At once, a new area for the dhuafa in the city of Lhokseumawe in developing the quality of their economic life, by utilizing the potential of the surrounding environment. Dhuafa housing will be equipped with public facilities such as mosque, commercial space, hall, early childhood, and garden, and facilities for assisted economy which include, skill training room (processing of organic and inorganic waste into commercial objects), fish breeding and Urban farming.The purpose of the design is to create a more orderly urban spaces and avoid slum areas as well as to improve the standard of living of the community by providing basic needs of a decent habitable living with facilities that support economic activities of the dhuafa. This design also applies the theme of contextual architecture with emphasis on local wisdom.
