نبذة مختصرة : This work aims to present to Portuguese language teachers, from the final years of elementary school, a proposal for intervention based on the basic sequence of COSSON (2007), which contemplates literature within the perspective of literary literacy. For this, we used the model indicated by Cosson, in his book Literary Literature (2007), for classes in this teaching stage, plus dynamics guided by the same author in the book Circles of Reading and Literary Literacy (2019). In our proposal we use as an example the short story by the Portuguese writer Valter Hugo Mãe entitled The most beautiful things in the world, for having this text characteristics of a literary tale, a genre easy to be worked on in the classroom, making it clear that it can be replaced according to the needs of the teacher and his class. As theoretical support, in addition to the official documents PCN's (1998) and BNCC (2017), we highlight the authors DALVI (2013), OLIVEIRA and LIMA (2018), COMPAGNON (1950), REZENDE (2013), ZILBERMAN (2008), TODOROV (2020), BARTHES (2015; 2013), JOUVE (2012) COLOMER 92007) and, especially COSSON (2019; 2020). For methodological purposes in the construction of our product as suggested by resolution No. 003/2020 created in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, we analyzed two dissertations defended by PROFLETRAS RN: OLIVEIRA (2017) and LIMA (2018), both focusing on the teaching of literature from the perspective of literary literacy using the short story to carry out the intervention. Comparing the dissertations and understanding the realities found by us in the public elementary school classrooms, we seek to bring a dynamic proposal with the potential to foster literary literacy for the training of proficient young readers.
