Cancer encompasses a set of approximately 100 diseases that are characterized by high proliferation of defective cells. Despite advances in chemotherapy for cancer patients, many adversities interfere with the effectiveness of the treatment, among which medication errors can be highlighted. Objectives: The general objective of the study was to investigate the factors related to errors in the pharmacological therapy of cancer patients, assisted in the different federations of Brazil, including prescription, dispensing and administration errors. Methodology: This is a systematic review. Results: After applying the criteria, 22 original and observational articles were considered, which address the issue of factors associated with errors in the pharmacological treatment of cancer patients in Brazil. Regarding the factors associated with medication failures in this population, it was evident that prescription errors were frequent in most of the evaluated studies (86.3%), followed by errors in formulation (22.7%) and administration (18. 1%), respectively. Dispensing errors (4.5%) and lack of professional information (9%) proved to be the least frequent factors in our analysis. Conclusion: In conclusion, medication errors proved to be frequent in the studied population, highlighting the importance of the pharmacist in tracking these problems in the context of chemotherapy treatment. ; El cáncer engloba un conjunto de aproximadamente 100 enfermedades que se caracterizan por una alta proliferación de células defectuosas.
