This study aims to analyze the perception of family farmers in the municipality of São João do Sabugi/RN regarding the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the costs of family agricultural production. The methodology of this research is classified as qualitative, descriptive, case study, with a documentary research. The research subjects were 20 family farmers from the city of São João do Sabugi/RN. The data collection instrument was a structured interview, as well as the analysis of the CONAB table of milk sales price during the period from May 2019 to April 2022. From the analysis of the interview data, it was possible to verify that the pandemic had a strong impact on the expenses of family farming producers, and that, according to their reports, the costs of agricultural activities increased significantly during the pandemic compared to the period before the arrival of the Coronavirus. According to the analysis of the prices set in the CONAB table, it was found that milk sales prices rose little during the peak of the pandemic, that is, while inputs such as warehouse feed and energy rose a lot during this period, small farmers had high costs and the price for sales did not follow this increase in costs. And finally, it is concluded that, in general, the pandemic has greatly affected family farmers in São João do Sabugi/RN, such as small agricultural producers, small milk producers, that is, people where the family works to have their livelihood and who have seen their spending rise during the pandemic. ; Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar a percepção dos agricultores familiares do município de São João do Sabugi/RN em relação ao impacto da pandemia da Covid-19 nos custos da produção agrícola familiar.
