Relationship between life satisfaction and gender ; Yaşam doyumu ile cinsiyet arasındaki ilişki

The main areas of positive psychology are happiness and prosperity. Each individual experiences changes from time to time in the levels of happiness and prosperity.I think life satisfaction is an important point that determines happiness and well-being.Life is a process that covers the whole time the person spends.The concept of satisfaction is to meet all the desires, expectations, demands, biological and psychological needs of the person.Life satisfaction can be explained by the comparison of expectations, desires, wishes and real situations of individuals.Life satisfaction can be different in each individual.The aim of my study is to shed light on whether gender factor is a factor that may cause a difference in life satisfaction. My study was a quantitative study and was conducted with 72 volunteer participants. The participant group includes undergraduate and graduate students between the ages of 18 and 30, including 52 women and 20 men. Life Satisfaction Scale consisting of 5 questions and has 5 likert type was applied to the participants.T test method was used to seperated group by gender and the scores and total scores of each question were examined. Significant 2-tailed values for the total scores are. 163 .211; for question 1 are .199 .216; for question 2 are. 102 .125; for question 3 are .414 .471; for question 4 are.794 .814 and for question 5 are .063 .111. As a result, there is no significant difference for gender.Therefore, we can say that there is no relationship between life satisfaction and gender in this study. ; Pozitif psikolojinin temel alanları mutluluk ve refahtır.
