نبذة مختصرة : Objective: To evaluate the perception of oral health and dental aesthetics of sub 14 and 16 of the Independent Club del Valle players. Material and Methods: These descriptive cross-sectional observational studies evaluated 33 players of the Club Independiente del Valle sub 14 and sub 16 divisions. Surveys on aesthetic perception, oral health and diet were conducted. In addition, clinically we evaluated OLeary plaque index, PSR, bleeding index. DMFT index. Results: 37 percent of players brush their teeth twice a day and most do not floss or oral wipe. 37 percent of them do not visit the dentist in more than a year and most do only when they have trouble. As for the aesthetic perception, 91 percent of athletes if evaluates his face, 76 percent is set in the color of teeth, this being what players would like to change his smile, but because of the cost they do not do. In his free time 94 percent of them consume junk food and 88 percent eat sweets. Conclusion: The oral health survey indicates low knowledge on oral hygiene. DMFT index group is 2.7 and plate is 100 percnet. The PSR index showed that 53 percent had code 1 and 60 percent presented code 2. Players are set in their teeth especially in the color of teeth, and have a high concern to improve its aesthetics. ; Objetivo: Evaluar la salud bucal y percepción de la estética dental de los futbolistas sub 14 y 16 del Club Independiente del Valle. Materiales y Métodos: Este estudio observacional descriptivo y transversal evaluó a 33 futbolistas del Club del Independiente del Valle de las divisiones sub 14 y sub 16. Se realizaron encuestas acerca de la percepción estética, salud bucal y dieta. Además se evaluó clínicamente el índice de placa de OLeary, PSR, sangrado gingival, CPOD. Resultados: El 37 por ciento de los jugadores se cepillan los dientes dos veces al día y la mayoría no usa hilo dental ni enjugue bucal.
