Affectivity and emotions of horse-characters in two books of the world literature ; Afectividad y emociones de los personajes-caballos en dos libros de la literatura mundial ; Afetividade e emoções de personagens-cavalos em dois livros da literatura mundial

Zooliterature focuses on the study of works that contain animals. Two literary books, Black Beauty, by Anna Sewell, and Michael Morporgo, by War Horse, present enough elements to be classified as zooliterature. These two romances were read in order to verify the emotions of the equine protagonists to be compared with the of the scientific literature, and verify if they are related to the reality, considering the human factor and the affective states of the animal characters. Thus, parts of the texts were selected for the study and then interpreted. In this study, the precept that the way people acts towards to horses and their attitudes result in an emotional valance in animals with proportional consequences in their quality of life. Although some feelings and emotions found in equine characters are anthropomorphic or others are not yet recognized by science, they can promote reflections and create empathy for horses in the readers of these two books. ; La zooliteratura se centra en el estudio de obras que contienen animales. Dos obras literarias, “Belleza Negra”, de Anna Sewell, y “Caballo de Guerra” de Michael Morporgo, presentan elementos suficientes para ser clasificados como zooliteratura. Estos dos romances fueron leídos con la finalidad de verificar las emociones de los protagonistas equinos a través de una comparación con la revisión de la literatura científica y asi poder verificar si existe una relación con la realidad, considerando el factor humano y los estados afectivos de los personajes. Para esto, se interpretaron los textos para la selección de extractos para el estudio. En este trabajo, se sigue el precepto de que la forma en que las personas se relacionan con los caballos y sus actitudes hacia ellos tienen un valor emocional en los animales con consecuencias proporcionales en su calidad de vida.
