Um estudo comparado da imagem corporal e postura frente ao tratamento do contorno corporal: cirurgia plástica x tratamento dermato funcional e/ou atividade física ; A comparative study on body image and posture in face of the treatment of the body outline: plastic surgery x dermato functional treatment and/or physical activity

Objective: The objective of the present study has been to compare the impact on the body image and the posture between the individuals submitted to plastic surgery of body outline and those ones who have made dermato-functional treatment and/or physical activity. POPULATION AND SAMPLE: The sample has included twenty individuals of both sexes and aging between 30 and 65 years old. All of the individuals have answered the interview, the graphic of the own body appreciation and symptoms, the test “My Body Image”, besides being submitted to postural evaluation. The sample has been separated in two groups. Took part in the group 1 10 individuals who have been exposed to a plastic surgery in the period of at least 30 days, and in the group 2, 10 individuals who have been exposed to a dermato-functional treatment, minimum of 12 sections or physical activity, at least 2 months. The results have been submitted to the comparative statistical analysis of frequency (qui square). Conclusion: Independently of the way used by the individual in order to redefine his body outline, faster, like the plastic surgery or slower, like the dermato-functional treatment or physical activity, alterations have occurred in his body image and posture. The only difference lies on the time these changes spend to occur. ; Introdução: A imagem corporal é a representação visual e mental que se tem do corpo [3].
