نبذة مختصرة : Objective: to describe the sociodemographic, clinical and subjective characteristics of patients with chronic kidney disease under conservative treatment. Method: this study has a quantitative and qualitative approach with 35 patients assisted through the nursing consultation in the Nephrology clinic of a university hospital. The instrument for data collection consists of a script. Results: most of the participants were female, with low educational level and remuneration, being hypertension and diabetes the main comorbidities, with the association of coronary disease. After a comprehensive analysis, two categories emerged: << Intentionality of the patients assisted in the nursing consultation in the Outpatient Nephrology >> and << Customer experiences >>. Conclusion: Nurses should be able to take responsibility for interventions that seek to understand the complexity of their being, respecting each personal characteristic and being ready to associate each information for a better transmission of aspects of treatment, deepening essential subsidies for nursing care in health-based nephrology. Método: estudo quantiqualitativo, com 35 clientes atendidos por meio da consulta de enfermagem no ambulatório de Nefrologia de um hospital universitário. Resultados: a maioria dos participantes era do sexo feminino, com baixa escolaridade e remuneração, sendo hipertensão e diabetes as principais comorbidades, com associação de doença coronariana.
