نبذة مختصرة : Els entorns rurals sempre s’han considerat territoris on existeixen relacions més directes i amb un fort sentit de comunitat. També és cert però, que la realitat d’aquests entorns és canviant i està en constant transformació. L’arribada de nous residents sense un vincle en aquests i la fina línia entre l’estil de vida del món urbà i el món rural són alguns dels aspectes que condicionen l’anomenada “nova ruralitat”. L’article fa un anàlisi del teixit comunitari, les necessitats i la sociocultura del micropoble de Castellfollit del Boix. Extreu les limitacions i potencialitats que té el territori per tal d’implementar programes i projectes socioculturals i posa en valor la tasca de l’Animació Sociocultural com a eina de transformació social i empoderament dels membres de la comunitat per tal de teixir comunitats rurals fortes. Acaba justificant la necessitat de la figura de l’educador social en el paper d’animador sociocultural en aquest context rural ; Rural environments have always been considered territories where there are more direct relationships and with a strong sense of community. It is also true, however, that the reality of these environments is changing and is in constant transformation. The arrival of new residents without a link to them and the fine line between the lifestyle of the urban world and the rural world are some of the aspects that condition the so-called "new rurality". The article analyzes the community fabric, the needs and the socio-culture of the micro-town of Castellfollit del Boix. It extracts the limitations and potential that the territory has in order to implement socio-cultural programs and projects and highlights the work of Socio-Cultural Animation as a tool for social transformation and empowerment of community members in order to weave strong rural communities. It ends by justifying the need for the figure of the social educator in the role of socio-cultural animator in this rural environment ; 3 ; 4 ; 11
