The sacred in the oral tale “the legend of the lady of the enchanted stone”: myth and reality in the experience of the northeastern man ; O sagrado no conto oral “a lenda da moça da pedra encantada”: mito e realidade na vivência sertaneja

This work proposes a study about the relationship between myth, memory and cultural identity from the popular oral narrative “The Legend of Lady of the Enchanted Stone” told by dame Raimunda de Juliana, that lives in Sítio Lagoa de Pedra, in Luís Gomes – RN. In this sense, we are based theoretically in researches about the sacred and the myth, the oral tale and popular culture: Eliade (2007), Luccioni (1977), Benjamin (1993), Simonsen (1987), among others. Thus, the legend studied builds the identity of the narrator and her group, and leads both teller and listeners to a relationship with the mythic and sacred aspect of their lives, with their primordial past, showing that the symbolic life is inseparable from human nature. ; O presente trabalho propõe um estudo sobre a relação entre mito, memória e identidade cultural a partir da narrativa oral popular “A Lenda da Moça da Pedra Encantada” contada por dona Raimunda de Juliana, moradora do Sítio Lagoa de Pedra, no município de Luís Gomes – RN. Essa perspectiva se constitui a partir de estudos sobre o mito e o sagrado, o conto oral e a cultura popular: Eliade (2007), Luccioni (1977), Benjamin (1993), Simonsen (1987), entre outros. Assim, a lenda em estudo constrói a identidade da narradora e do grupo da qual faz parte, além de conduzir contadora e ouvintes a uma relação com o aspecto sagrado e mítico das suas vidas, com o seu passado primordial, mostrando que a vida simbólica é inseparável da natureza humana.
