نبذة مختصرة : High failure rates in Differential and Integral Calculus 1 are a tradition according to historical studies of this discipline and many attempts to reduce failure have been proposed in the pedagogical environment and in research. As failure is a consequence of mistakes made by students in tests, the analysis of these errors can be used as a tool to increase the efficiency of the teaching and learning process. Thus, the present master’s dissertation aims to investigate the mistakes made by students from two Engineering courses at the Federal Technological University of Paran´a, campus Toledo, who took the course of Differential and Integral Calculus 1, during the second half of 2019. The studies were based on the error analysis proposed by Helena Noronha Cury, using the three phases of the content analysis proposed by Laurence Bardin: the pre-analysis, the exploration of the material and the treatment of the results. After analyzing and categorizing errors and based on errors related to basic mathematics, activities were developed and made available to students, as a question bank, in the virtual Moodle environment. With this, we intend to collaborate with the performance of students in the Differential and Integral Calculus 1 course and other engineering disciplines that depend on basic mathematics.
