This article aimed to analyze the movements of the teaching organization in search of valorization, with a focus on the municipalities of Pará. Therefore, a bibliographic and documentary survey was carried out on the valorization of professors. About the Teacher Valuation Policies in Brazil, a brief history was made, pointing out the national scenario, in which the valuation of teachers was included as an educational principle in the Federal Constitution of 1988 and in the Law of Guidelines and Bases of Education – Law nº 9.394/1996. In the search for teacher appreciation, it was noticed that since the 19th century, teachers tried to organize themselves into associations and unions, both nationally and locally, as it is possible to verify the union trajectory in favor of improvements in education. Concluded that in Pará, through the research carried out, which pointed out the constant interventions of the union in the various municipalities, to fight together with education professionals for their claims, there is frequent devaluation of teachers. ; Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar los movimientos de la organización docente en busca de valorización, centrándose en los municipios de Pará, para lo cual se realizó un levantamiento bibliográfico y documental sobre la valorización docente. En lo que respecta a las Políticas de Valoración de los Docentes en Brasil, se hizo una breve historia del escenario nacional, en el que la valorización de los docentes fue incluida como principio educativo en la Constitución Federal de 1988 y en la Ley de Directrices y Bases de la Educación – Ley nº 9.394/1996. En la búsqueda del reconocimiento docente, se observó que, desde el siglo XIX, los docentes intentaron organizarse en asociaciones y sindicatos, tanto a nivel nacional como local, como se puede ver la trayectoria sindical a favor de las mejoras en la educación.
