      In questa tesi si studia come applicare un algoritmo di firma digitale basato su curve ellittiche all'interno dei Battery Management Systems al fine di renderli sicuri contro eventuali attacchi di utenti non autorizzati con scopi malevoli. Un acceleratore hardware per firma digitale è sviluppato a partire da requisiti calcolati al fine di utilizzare il modulo per applicazioni di Secure Boot e Blockchain. In conclusione, il modulo hardware sviluppato con il linguaggio SystemVerilog viene sintetizzato su una board DE10 e conclusioni sulle sue performance sono trattate. In this thesis, we study how to apply a digital signature algorithm based on elliptic curves within Battery Management Systems in order to secure them against possible attacks by unauthorized users with malicious purposes. A hardware accelerator for digital signature is developed from calculated requirements in order to use the module for Secure Boot and Blockchain applications. In conclusion, the hardware module developed with the SystemVerilog language is synthesized on a DE10 board and conclusions about its performance are discussed.
