نبذة مختصرة : This study aims to analyze whether the training for the use of the Information and Communication Technologies offered by the Education Secretariat of Juiz de Fora, contemplates the necessities of its municipal teachers. At present, the Information and Communication Technologies are present in almost every school by means of computer labs. Such equipment, acquired by mans of municipal budget and via an agreement with the Ministry for Education and National Program for Educational Technology, provides the schools the necessary conditions to offering digital inclusion to their students and teachers. The present dissertation describes the implementation of the course Proinfo 40 and analyzes such continued education program as it was developed in 2011. The study presents, from the perception of the teachers who have taken part in the formation and from contributions by experts in the field, some considerations regarding the tendencies in continuing formation, its possibilities and limits, so that we may propose interventions to their improvement. The research, qualitative in nature was focused on the teachers of the municipal educational system by means of surveys sent by e-mail. The results show an underuse of the technological resources, frustrating the expectations of incorporating such resources at school. According to the research, such underuse is due to the lack of a consistent teachers training program focused on the pedagogical use of the Information and Communication Technologies. Thus, a proposal was elaborated for a wide and extensive training program for teachers, which must be presented to the municipal education managers.
