      This article, the result of a larger work, aims to demonstrate the impact of a continuing education course on the development of curriculum-related teaching knowledge in Astronomy for teachers in the final years of Elementary Education. Through a methodology that involved the administration of questionnaires, data were collected before and after the course, allowing for a comprehensive analysis of changes in teachers' conceptions and practices. The results revealed that participation in the course had a significant impact on the enhancement of teaching knowledge, promoting an evolution in conceptions about Astronomy, deepening of knowledge, and improvement of teaching practices. This study highlights the importance of continuing education in empowering teachers to provide more effective instruction in Astronomy, emphasizing the opportunities for interdisciplinary approaches and student motivation as additional benefits. However, it also recognizes the existence of challenges to be overcome in teacher training in this area. These findings contribute to the advancement of knowledge in Science education and may guide future efforts in teacher training and educational research. ; Este artigo, fruto de um trabalho maior, busca demonstrar o impacto de um curso de formação continuada, no desenvolvimento dos saberes docentes curriculares em Astronomia, de professoras dos anos finais do Ensino Fundamental. Por meio de uma metodologia que envolveu a aplicação de questionários, foram coletados dados do antes e do após o curso, permitindo uma análise abrangente das mudanças nas concepções e práticas das professoras. Os resultados revelaram que a participação no curso teve um impacto significativo no aprimoramento dos saberes docentes, promovendo uma evolução nas concepções sobre Astronomia, no aprofundamento do conhecimento e no aprimoramento das práticas de ensino.
