نبذة مختصرة : Introductıon and Objectıve: Nurses in hospitals throughout Turkey in the research are exposed to high levels of violence and news of violence against at least one health worker is found in the press every day. Hospitals, emergency services, family health centres turn into places where aggressive people fear health workers; it forces health workers to be cautious where they need to be safe. Due to the violence, they are exposed to in work environments, nurses’ interests and desires towards their professions are significantly reduced; there is a decline in the caregiver role. We aimed to raise awareness about nurses and nursing students working environments and the type of violence applied by doing a literature review on this issue. Method: Health, violence, nurses, current articles violence in Turkey using keywords for scanned nurses and compilation is made. Discussion and Conclusion: The results of the work of nurses in health institutions in Turkey, respectively, verbal, physical, has been found to be exposed to psychological violence. It is stated that the frequency of exposure to violence in working environments is 64%. Nurses working in private institutions face more verbal violence than those working in the state, and they said that they could not give feedback to defend themselves. Female nurses are exposed to violence more sexually and psychologically than male nurses, and it was determined that these were generally verbally declared by the relatives of the patients. It is observed that the violence is higher in high-stress units such as emergency departments, intensive care units, oncology and psychiatry. It was determined that the students of the nursing department were exposed to violence verbally by the patients and their relatives. Considering the causes of violence against students, it is observed that invasive interventions and treatments create a stressful and tense environment in the application situations of the patients.
