Freddy Gallez

The architect Freddy Gallez (1938 - ) talks to three architecture students in June 2016. He recalls the tutelary figures of his formative years, the years spent on the Côte d'Azur, his association with Guy Rottier, his participation in the GIAP (Groupe International d'Architecture Prospective), his Marxist commitment, the path that led him to carry out several projects in the Dendre valley, his practice as a cabinetmaker, through several of his projects: The Robbe, Arman and Storme houses, the "Maison Escargot", his social housing projects (Pyramides d'Hyon, Quartier Garcia Lorca, Clos du Soleil), the Tri postal d'Ath, etc. This exchange was an opportunity for Gallez to talk about the impact of the 1973 oil crisis on the practice of the profession, and to take a retrospective look at his own professional trajectory. ; L’architecte Freddy Gallez (1938 - ) s’entretient en juin 2016 avec trois étudiants en architecture.
