نبذة مختصرة : This study focuses on the correlation between the professional satisfaction level and emotional intelligence in accordance with changes in certain variables of teachers who work at primary school level in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. In order to determine the demographic profile of individuals participating in the study the following factors were taking into consideration: credentials, gender, age, marital status, salary range, seniority, branch, personal information form that questioned the type of school and education level; Optimism / mental state regulation, evaluation of emotions and feelings that contains the dimensions of the use of Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale; Compliance with the interests and abilities of individual professional activities, taking responsibility, were the questions used about Professional Satisfaction Scale in the development and advancement opportunities. The aim of the teachers who work at the primary education level are to be aware of their own feelings, be able to distinguish between right and wrong, have a clear understanding not only by understanding their own but also being able to understand and acknowledge the feelings of others. The study focuses on the interdependence this may have with suitable working conditions, as well as variables such as the relationship between internal and external professional satisfaction. Relational model was used in this study. The study was carried out in academic year 2015-2016 with the selected sample set from Northern Cyprus Turkish Republic constitutes of 300 teachers working in primary school teachers. A relatively strong relationship was found between emotional intelligence and professional satisfaction level of teachers. Gender, age, marital status, seniority, industry, school type, education level, number of classes and students.
