The work thinks, beyond the eruptions and current situations of the educational system, about the significance of conceiving a clear concept of education. Starting, with satisfied and passive character of the inspector of education before the great importance of the education, it is proposed a critical consideration about the system, aiming at the decisive contributions that might be made to this process from the inspection. ; El trabajo se plantea, más allá de las erupciones tópicas y las situaciones actuales del sistema educativo, una consideración sobre la importancia de concebir un concepto claro de la educación. Comenzando, con el supuestamente carácter autosatisfecho e indiferencia del inspector de educación ante la gran tarea de la educación, se propone una reflexión crítica sobre el sistema, con el objetivo de enfatizar y remarcar las contribuciones decisivas que se pueden hacer a este proceso desde la inspección misma. Más allá de tareas meramente domésticas y/o técnicas, la Inspección educativa puede y debe aportar una decisiva contribución a la consecución de una educación con mayúsculas.
