In this study, we are interested in what drives support for environmental legislation. With this objective, we will employ a choice-based conjoint experimental design (Hainmueller, Hopkins, and Yamamoto 2014; Leeper, Hobolt, and Tilley 2020), where respondents will be asked to make a forced choice, binary selection between one of two hypothetical pieces of legislation and to rate the selected bill on a scale from 1 to 7. Each respondent will be presented with 3 tasks of this type.
