      In view of school dropout, the percentage of young people who have not completed Basic Education, it is possible to see that education requires differentiated strategies. This bibliographic research aimed to find ways to reduce school dropout, increase the student's permanence in school and form critical, autonomous and active citizens in the reality of society. With this research, it is expected to provide materials to teachers to implement their knowledge about the concepts addressed, and to subsidize instruments for educational practice, which strengthens the relationship between the student and the teacher, through reflection on the importance of new teaching practices, and with methodology that provides space, voice and time for teenagers, where they feel respected, and also aims at full human development, so that learning has more meaning. This study of bibliographic review by qualitative scientific research with objectives of an exploratory nature proposes a reflection on Youth Protagonism. During the study, the following themes were listed: Active methodologies, National Common Curriculum Base, Socio­emotional Competences, Paulista Curriculum, Education Report a treasure to discover, Integral Education Program, Pedagogy of presence, Life project, Tutoring and Integral Development. Youth requires an education focused on integral development, which includes learning to know, do, live and be, and which considers the cognitive and emotional aspects as prescribed by Interdimensional Education. This bibliographic research shows that, with the use of the Youth Protagonism Methodology, it is possible to improve the climate in schools, strengthen the action of teachers and create bonds with students.
