      Here, we designed cancer cell membrane-coated Indocyanine green (ICG) PLGA nanoparticles for tumor surgery navigation in NIR imaging. Encapsulating of ICG to (nanoparticles) NPs results in the extension of ICG half-life and accumulation at the tumor site. Biomimetic NPs coated with an active cell membrane are getting more attention and can acquire special functions, such as ligand recognition and targeting, long blood circulation, and immune escaping. Cancer cell membrane-coated (CCM) NPs, therefore, are expected to obtain homologous targeting, which is especially appropriate for targeting drug delivery. Dynamic light scattering (DLS) analysis showed a relatively narrow hydrodynamic diameter of 134.5 nm in PLGA-NPs, as confirmed by low polydispersity index (PDI) values of 0.152 suggesting uniformity of the particle size distribution. Transmission electronmicroscopy (TEM) images showed that CCM coated ICG/PLGA-NPs were of spherical shape composed of ICG/PLGA-NPs as the inner cores and CM as the shells. The data was showed that the fluorescence intensity originating from CCM coated ICG/PLGA-NPs was far in the corresponding source cells over those in heterotypic cells. To conclude, coating polymeric nanoparticles with cancer cell membrane presents an effective method for introducing multiple membrane antigens and surface functionalities that are desirable but hard to achieve using traditional synthetic techniques.
