The Brazilian higher education towards university oligopolistic ; A educação superior brasileira rumo à universidade oligopolista

The article is the result of researches carried out in the thesis, whose aim was to further discussions about the transformations undergone by the Brazilian higher education in recent years forties, starting with the Reform of Higher Education of 1968 and that changes with the advent of neoliberal policies in 1990s. It seeks to demonstrate that the governmental sphere opted for private enterprise to promote the democratization of higher education at the expense of public initiative. ; O presente artigo é fruto de pesquisas desenvolvidas na tese cujo objetivo foi ampliar as discussões sobre as transformações sofridas pela educação superior brasileira nos últimos quarentas anos, iniciadas com a Reforma da Educação Superior de 1968 e que se modificam com o advento das políticas neoliberais na década de 1990. Assim sendo, procura-se demonstrar nesse trabalho que a esfera governamental optou pela iniciativa privada, em detrimento da iniciativa pública, para promover a democratização da educação superior.
