      Professional development (PD) is the means through which we inform and train teachers on our evolving knowledge of best teaching practices. PD is used to strengthen teachers’ capacity to deliver evidence-based practices, yet little is understood regarding how teachers learn. To make sense of teachers as learners, it is crucial to identify how PD impacts teacher outcomes (i.e., skills, beliefs, knowledge). The Teacher Outcomes & Professional Development Review (TOPD) will evaluate the effect of PD on teacher outcomes from a large-scale database of over 300 studies.
