Rediseño microcurricular de ciencias naturales adaptado a la educación virtual: Microcurricular redesign of natural sciences adapted to virtual education

This document presents a proposal for a micro curricular redesign for the area of Natural Sciences and Environmental Education aimed at the fifth grade, with the intention of orienting the elements of the curriculum to a virtual education model in times of pandemic. An observation process was developed for the construction of the institutional diagnosis, through the characterization of the Colegio Sagrado Corazón de Villavicencio and its surroundings, which would make an approach to the teaching processes of the institution, in addition, the interview was conducted with the 5th grade Natural Sciences teacher. The research problem is presented from the question: How to design a curriculum for the area of Natural Sciences that considers the particularities of the context and the current needs of the fifth-grade students of the Sacred Heart School? As reference frames, the theoretical constructs that take into account the elements of the curriculum were considered, such as: the context, the purposes, sequences, contents, methodological strategies and evaluation; as well as institutional documents such as the PEI, the previous curriculum and other public documents that allow us to recognize the living and natural environment in which the school is located.Within the legal framework, the different educational guidelines and regulations that regulate the curriculum at the national level and that define that education must take into account the Basic Standards of Natural Sciences Competences were examined. Based on the redesign carried out, a class planning was developed that involves the elements addressed and that is adapted to the learning needs of students in times of pandemic and virtual education.Thus, it has been established that when the learning environment changes, it is essential to carry out amicro curricular redesign that adjusts to the challenges of virtual education, since learning is significantwhen the elements of this instrument respond to the specific needs and the learning context of the students. ...
