In the case of ARD, the growth was significant in conjunction with COVID-19 in patients affected in the ICU, so the constant use and greater handling flow of hemodialysis equipment comes together with wear and failures in its functioning, as well as equipment with a longer operating time. useful life in the stocking sector, for such minimization and better management of the availability of this technology suitable for use in the renal sector, risk management and detection of failures and modes that occur are of extreme importance, due to the high degree of danger in carrying out the therapy, which extracts and returns to the body quantities of blood fluid with different functions and homeostasis. Thus, the methodology used to analyze the effect of health failures (HFMEA) was a way of listing, identifying, classifying, and analyzing the risks involved in the execution and operation of various processes in which equipment performs, providing data that identifies errors that could result in the device being temporarily or permanently unusable. Therefore, this methodology was implemented in hemodialysis equipment in the same sector at the Hospital Universitário Onofre Lopes from the years 2021 to 2023, identifying through the history of adverse events, segmenting them into corrective maintenance - with failures to be applied to the HFMEA tool - and existing preventive maintenance for guarantee of calibrations and functioning within standards for each machine activity, making it possible with information to mitigate how failures occur and possible decision-making to prevent and remedy critical situations of equipment ...
