INVESTIGATIVE ACTIVITY AS A TOOL TO DEEPEN THE TEACHING OF ARTHROPODS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ; LA ACTIVIDAD INVESTIGADORA COMO HERRAMIENTA PARA PROFUNDIZAR EN LA ENSEÑANZA DE LOS ARTRÓPODOS EN LA ESCUELA PRIMARIA ; ATIVIDADE INVESTIGATIVA COMO FERRAMENTA PARA O ENSINO DE ARTRÓPODES NO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL

Science Teaching must be related to a critical reflection involving methodologies for the construction of scientific-technological knowledge and its applications in society. The research adopted the qualitative methodology developed through the implementation of an investigative activity exploring the arthropod fauna in different habitats. The data exposed and discussed here came from audio recordings of activities and the researcher's field diary. In turn, the analysis aimed to investigate how the use of an investigative activity can help to deepen the teaching of Science. The results showed elements that point to the contribution of the activity in the engagement and interest of students in the activities developed, in the same way that it favored the understanding of the contents covered. Therefore, an investigative approach allows the student, from the problematization, to gather the knowledge he has to produce inferences, create hypotheses and seek solutions using his own strategy. ; La Enseñanza de las Ciencias debe estar relacionada con una reflexión crítica que involucre metodologías para la construcción del conocimiento científico-tecnológico y sus aplicaciones en la sociedad. La investigación adoptó la metodología cualitativa desarrollada a través de la implementación de una actividad investigativa explorando la fauna de artrópodos en diferentes hábitats. Los datos expuestos y discutidos aquí provienen de grabaciones de audio de actividades y del diario de campo del investigador. A su vez, el análisis tuvo como objetivo indagar cómo el uso de una actividad investigativa puede ayudar a profundizar la enseñanza de las Ciencias. Los resultados mostraron elementos que apuntan a la contribución de la actividad en el compromiso e interés de los estudiantes en las actividades desarrolladas, de la misma forma que favoreció la comprensión de los contenidos abordados.
