    • نبذة مختصرة :
In the modern world, man-made devices emitting electromagnetic waves are on the increase. The use of mobile phones, in particular, has increased. As electromagnetic pollution increases, it is important to understand and evaluate its potential adverse effects on health. The purpose of this study is to investigate the electromagnetic effects of a mobile phone on a mouse biomodel, animal hematology, and behavior. 30 balb/c mice were used in the study. Two experimental groups for 72 h. were exposed to radiofrequency electromagnetic waves emanating from a gsm mobile phone. Behaviour was assessed by 11 indicators and body and coat cleaning sequence at 6 h, 60 h. And 72 hours from the start of the experiment. Also, blood morphological examination (erythrocytes, hemoglobin, hematocrit) and brain histopathology were performed. Behavioral observation revealed that, based on the coat and body cleaning procedures, animals in group 2 were more active 3 times throughout the study period compared with the first and control groups. Also, the following behavioral parameters were significantly activated by the radiofrequency radiation emitted by mobile phones: walking and movement, forelimb licking, hindlimb licking and sniffing of the cage in both experimental groups as compared to the control group. No statistically significant differences were found between the hematological parameters of the mice. Histopathological examination of the brain showed shrinkage of some pyramidal neurons, mild perivascular and perineural edema, and vacuolization of some neurons and gliocytes in the major hemispheres in the second experimental group.
