Hipertensão e diabetes mellitus: perfil assistencial e de usuários em uma unidade de saúde do interior paulista

Hypertension and diabetes mellitus are part of a class of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), representing in a mutual form, the major cause of death in the country, besides its potential to leave often irreversible consequences that are responsible for too much early retirement. Prevention and appropriate systematic monitoring of hypertension and diabetes have been, in recent decades, objects of a large concern by the government and various health organizations worldwide. The objective was to raise the welfare of patients and users profile of hypertension and diabetes mellitus in a Health Unit of a small city in the state of São Paulo. In a universe of 1379 patients registered in Hiperdia Program, 112 charts were selected in the sample. The frequencies were evaluated and distributed according to age, gender, diagnosis, comorbidity, medication prescribed, monitoring frequency and information on files. The results showed predominance of female group, age range 50-59 years, mostly with arterial hypertension, which remain favorable pressure values by prescribing standard drugs for Rename, however it is very important to emphasize that the lack monitoring periodicity and records in files were weak points to be improved in the care provided to this type of patient ; A hipertensão arterial e diabetes mellitus fazem parte de uma classe de doenças crônicas não transmissíveis (DCNT), representando, de forma mútua, uma das principais causas de óbito em todo o país, além do seu potencial de deixar sequelas muitas vezes irreversíveis e responsáveis por grande parte das aposentadorias precoces.
