After a long period of decline, thanks to production engineering and ergonomics, the rate of occupational accidents is increasing again in the health and socio-medical sector, while the physical conditions of practice seem improved. Careful observation of the exhaustive data provided by the CARSAT Aquitaine for the period 2011-2016 reveals similarities in the accident rate in relation to the size of the establishments and their geographical location. It also shows substantial differences for comparable establishments, suggesting the presence of management factors.Because the literature review in management sciences was poor, we extended our research to related disciplines such as economics, psychology, sociology or organization, bringing to light more than twenty variables with demonstrated effects. This leads us to a multifactorial causality of the phenomenon. Based on the findings of authors specializing in the topic, such as Leclercq, Monteau and Cuny (2013) or Daubas-Letourneux & al. (2012), we decide to build a systemic model at three levels: territories, establishments, and employers/employees. At each of these levels, we propose to compare the impact of all the variables that correspond to it, macroeconomic and demographic for the territories, structural and microeconomic for the establishments and organizational and individual for the employers and employees. Then, in order to hierarchize these variables at the systemic level, we confront them on several levels at the same time. The realization of these analyses requires us to use a wide range of tools, compilation of CARSAT data and questionnaires to a sample of employers and employees in order to collect the data, categorization of employee victims of accidents, regression trees, independence tests, median and mean comparisons to process them. Thanks to these successive operations, we can confirm for the level of the territories that the duration and the evolution of unemployment influence the accident rate, upwards or downwards according to the ...
