Les centres d’art contemporain et l’intersectionnalité : enjeux, discours, appropriations (InterCAC)

This research project looks at how racist, sexist and classist discrimination are taken into account in the discourses of contemporary art centres in France. Indeed, these cultural venues question the relationship between art and society. They think of themselves and are conceived as places of production and dissemination of knowledge.We wish to observe the different ways in which these institutions mobilise the concept of intersectionality in their institutional approach. To do so, we are interested in all the actions produced by an art centre in the production of knowledge: communication, artistic programming, teaching, research.Organised in collaboration with the Villa Arson and the GERMédias of the SFSIC, this project is part of a network of institutions and a framework of national influence. Its results will be of interest to students and researchers from different disciplines, but also to professionals in the sector. ; Ce projet de recherche s’intéresse à la façon dont les discriminations racistes, sexistes et classistes sont prises en compte dans les discours des centres d’art contemporain en France. En effet, ces lieux culturels interrogent les rapports entre art et société. Ils se pensent et sont conçus comme des lieux de production et diffusion de savoirs.Nous souhaitons observer les différentes façons dont ces institutions mobilisent le concept d’intersectionnalité dans leur démarche institutionnelle. Pour ce faire, nous nous intéressons à l’ensemble des actions produites par un centre d’art dans la production des savoirs : communication, programmation artistique, enseignement, recherche.Organisé en collaboration avec la Villa Arson et le GERMédias de la SFSIC, ce projet s’inscrit dans un réseau d’institutions et un cadre de rayonnement nationaux. Ses résultats intéresseront étudiant·es et chercheur·es de différentes disciplines, mais également les professionnel·les du secteur.
