Welcome aboard Travis Blood Drive The Semi-Annual Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at the student center on Tuesday, March 25th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Student Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants will be sponsoring the blood drive. We would like you to sign up for an appointment to donate blood before the blood drive date. Please be careful when you are walking in these areas during and after snow and ice storms. Sand will be used as a substitute but it does not melt ice as salt does. KSS Town Hall Meetings Surveys of students and staff indicate misconceptions (or no conceptions) about the true nature and pur­pose of the Signature Series. To remedy, faculty members who regularly teach in the Signature Series will facil­itate two Friday morning town hall meetings providing a taste of a typical Signature Series class through review of some of the readings. Participants will also be provided with a taste of breakfast or lunch. The dates are: March 7, noon - 1:30 p.m. Room 210 of the Humanities Center (PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN LOCATION); lunch provided. March 14, noon - 1 :30 p.m. in room 210 of the Humanities Center; lunch provided. The same readings will be discussed at each meeting, and each meeting will conclude with participants to suggesting ways of describing their experience so that those who advise students can more effectively convey to them what they will get out of taking the Signature Series. The meetings are open to all BU employees, and are highly recommended for advisors. Be sure to coordinate your attendance with others in your office so that all have an opportunity to attend.
