نبذة مختصرة : It is proposed to identify the vaccination status and evaluate the immunobiological records in the Child Health Handbook of a Municipal Center for Early Childhood Education (CMEI) in the northern region of Palmas-TO. METHODOLOGY: This is a descriptive, exploratory, cross-sectional field study with a quantitative approach conducted in a CMEI, by verifying data related to the vaccination status and the registration of immunobiologicals in the Child Health Handbooks (CSC). The sample consisted of 106 CSCs that were analyzed, after consent of those responsible. RESULTS: The age of the children who had their CSC analyzed ranged from 31 to 78 months (SD 14.33). Regarding the vaccination status, 19.81% were overdue and the scheduling annotation (return date for the next vaccination) was present in 97.17% of the CSC. Of the 1,485 doses that were to be administered from birth to six months of age, 39.35% were delayed and 1.15% were not administered. In the 9 to 15 month age group of the 849 expected doses, 55.54% were delayed and 0.82% were not administered. Of children older than 48 months, of the 192 expected doses, 40.63% were delayed and 14.06% were not administered. Regarding the evaluation of the records of all doses of vaccines administered, contained in the 106 CSC, it was found that of the 2473 doses, over 99, 60% of the notes were legible record, in the correct place, with date of application, batch of immunobiological information and name of the professional administering the vaccine. CONCLUSION: Vaccination coverage was lower than recommended by the Ministry of Health, which is 95%, and although about 80% had the expected vaccination status, a significant percentage of children had their vaccines administered late. Most of the immunobiological records in the CSC were adequate. It is emphasized the need for extramural actions, with active search for absentees and intensification of health education on the importance of immunization, reinforcing the importance of correctly complying with the national ...
