      In this research work we will answer the following question: what is the level of difficulty that students of the 7th year of elementary school II have in relation to the content of the set of integers? So we will analyze the level of difficulty they have. We will have in the first chapter the introduction of the work bringing a small approach of what will be treated in the work, a more general view. In the second chapter we have the theoretical foundation which will bring a brief history of the emergence of integers, and how important it is for students to have a firm basis in the content of integers for the subjects that will be transmitted to the student, as well as a brief introduction to the concepts that integers have. The third chapter will bring the methodology used so that it is a qualitative and quantitative research, being applied a questionnaire to obtain the collected data. In the fourth chapter we will already have the data that were collected from the questionnaire that was applied, where three schools participated, having a school from the municipal network and two schools from the state education network, all schools in João Pessoa - PB, with a total of 152 students who participated in the research, with students between 11 and 15 years old, so that no type of instrument was used to solve the problems. Finally, we have the final considerations of this work addressed in relation to the data that were obtained from the previous chapter, a possible solution to the problem that the students have, taking into account some factors that can affect the students. ; Neste trabalho de pesquisa iremos responder a seguinte pergunta: qual o nível de dificuldade que os alunos do 7° ano do ensino fundamental II possuem com relação ao conteúdo do conjunto de números inteiros? De modo que analisaremos o nível de dificuldade que eles possuem.
