      Los programas de crianza han demostrado ser una estrategia efectiva y rentable para cerrar brechas de desigualdad entre poblaciones vulnerables y no vulnerables (UNICEF, 2021; OMS, 2018; Heckman, 2017). Este estudio se suma a esta evidencia al evaluar la rentabilidad de Semillas de Apego, un programa psicosocial comunitario que adopta un enfoque diferente. Se concentra en la salud mental de cuidadores de niños de 0 a 5 años afectados por el conflicto armado y el desplazamiento forzado en Colombia y, a través de este mecanismo, mejorar la salud mental infantil y desarrollo infantil temprano. Utilizando los resultados de la evaluación de impacto del programa, y partir de resultados de la literatura, vinculamos los efectos con monetización para Colombia en cinco dimensiones: costos médicos evitados, ausentismo laboral y productividad, criminalidad, ingresos, y educación. Debido a que el programa solo cuenta con evidencia de impacto en el corto plazo, para proyectar los beneficios en el largo plazo utilizamos tres escenarios basados en la literatura: beneficios crecientes en el largo plazo, beneficios decrecientes en el largo plazo y beneficios decrecientes en el corto plazo. Para los primeros dos escenarios seguimos a los participantes del programa por 28 años para los niños, y 7 años para los adultos, y para el tercero asumimos que todos los beneficios desaparecen tras 2-3 años después de la intervención. Descontando a una tasa de 6.4%, encontramos que la relación costo-beneficio del programa varía entre 1.57 y 8.25 dólares por dólar invertido, dependiendo del escenario, lo cual indica que los beneficios generados por el programa superan sustancialmente sus costos. Para el primer y segundo escenario, los resultados se encuentran dentro del rango esperado por la literatura internacional, que oscila entre 4 y 10.15 dólares por dólar invertido (Reynolds y Temple, 2008).
