Sexo como profissão: Relações das profissionais em questão com o poder público

Artigo (especialização) - Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Centro de Ciências Sociais e Humanas, Curso de Especialização em Pensamento Político Brasileiro, RS, 2008. ; This article aims to raise some aspects regarding the women Professional of Sex in the city of Santa Maria –Rio Grande do Sul-Brazil. Such aspects are about the understanding of the public politics directed to this group, as well as the protagonism and the autonomy of the women in question in relation to the actions that have been developed or to discussed about them. The analysis of the government position was made from the participating objectivation and interviews applied to the group of women that have sex as a profession in a region that suffers prejudice because of the development of this activity. The questions made to with these women were draw in the sense of learning their perceptions about their profession. About their motivations for the exercise of this activity and how they some of them feel in relation to the form how others see them. It is important to highlight that in this paper we will discuss some points relative to the public and social interests of the social phenomenon that is the existence of Professionals of Sex. The answers to these questions prove how much the government understands the case as a matter like of health. ; Este artigo tem por objetivo levantar alguns elementos referentes às mulheres Profissionais do Sexo no município de Santa Maria-Rio Grande do Sul-Brasil. Tais elementos são voltados para o entendimento das políticas públicas direcionadas a este grupo, bem como o protagonismo e autonomia das mulheres em questão em relação às ações que têm sido desenvolvidas ou discutidas para com elas. A análise das diretrizes do poder público foi feita a partir de objetivação participante e entrevistas aplicadas a um grupo de mulheres que fazem sexo profissionalmente em uma região estigmatizada pelo desenvolvimento de tal atividade.
