Impacto social de la carretera Quito-Riobamba en la población de Lasso provincia de Cotopaxi

This work analyzed the impacts of the new constructions done by Ecuadorian State since 2008; specially the new roads, understanding that since pre-Columbian times the roads and highways globally have marked the axis for the development of the people. Without adequate processes of socialization and citizen participation could aspects such as Sumak Kawsay included in our Constitution; the apparent vision of modernization or change of the productive matrix, has left negative balances in small populations of our nation. One example in the Sierra region are the populations of Salcedo and Lasso. This work deals with the impacts of the E35 Road in Lasso. As it is related by the people, their everyday life and economical incomes have change since they depended on the Pan Americana Road that connected the different provinces of the North, Center and South of the country. This condition generated the presence of national and foreign visitors that stayed there for tourism or supply, as they had a large number of shops, restaurants, souvenirs, service stations (gas stations), among other businesses that generated Its economic activity and the families who live in the sector, but the inauguration of the new road, coupled with other problems that arose after its construction, radically changed its daily life. ; Este trabajo aborda el impacto que tienen las nuevas construcciones que el Estado ecuatoriano inició a partir del 2008; en este tema daremos una mirada en las nuevas carreteras, entendiendo que desde tiempos precolombinos las vías y carreteras a nivel mundial han marcado el eje determinantes para el desarrollo de los pueblos, pero las mismas que sin adecuados procesos de socialización o de participación ciudadana, no contemplan ciertos aspectos como el Buen Vivir o Sumak Kawsay establecidas en nuestra Constitución, pues la aparente visión de modernización o cambio de matriz productiva estatal ha dejado saldos negativos en pequeñas poblaciones, como es el caso de las poblaciones de Salcedo y Lasso.
