نبذة مختصرة : This paper finds that the return to the presentness of Education in our (post-)pandemic time/space has generated new forms of suffering and of the students' psychic constitution. The existential (re)formulations in the new normal have caused surprises and impasses: for many children, School is only a place of shelter and maintenance of social ties, no longer a place of relationship with formal knowledge. What is the function of School in pandemic time/space? How to make it meaningful? This discussion was present in remote, weekly conversation rounds with elementary I and II teachers, in a public school in the state of São Paulo. We tried to (re)mean times of loss, invaded spaces, and to configure the new "normal" at school, considering several sources of teachers' suffering: the identification with children, deprived of the right to exercise childhood, to play, to play, to hug and kiss; the silencing of mourning, prevented from entering the school context; digital platforms in sudden operation; managed WhatsApp groups concealed unequal access to technology. The teachers experienced impasses, fears, and terror. The not knowing, the not wanting to know, and the inequality were erased with the pandemic, and the school resumed face-to-face teaching and evaluation activities, as if the individual and collective experience had not been interrupted.
