A group of eight men stand in a dirt yard. A white frame wooden building is on the right of the photograph; bare trees are in the background. A badge is visible on five of the men. Seven of the men are Native American; one is white. All have been identified as members of the Indian Police Umatilla Agency in 1888. All wear European-American clothing and shoes: felt hats, cloth shirts, jackets, trousers, and coats. Behind the man identified as Wike-Wike is a small dark-and light patterned dog.
