Stacey Bess interview

Connie and Stacey begin the interview discussing Stacey’s experiences teaching homeless children and the benefit of rules and limitations when dealing with the children. They proceed to talk about how people are similar in terms of their needs and wants, and how homelessness is not a choice, before moving on to a discussion of famous athletes and their involvement with the homeless children. Connie and Stacey continue to discuss the importance of community involvement in all children’s lives and making sure they have safe, recreational outlets for their activities, and how the book is really about meeting the needs of children. Stacy talks about her own children before returning to the book’s contents, and Connie closes the interview requesting an autograph for her copy of the book.
