В статье уделено внимание характерным чертам внедрения принципа разделения властей в политическую систему России в период с 1989 по 1993 г. Анализируются основные политические реформы периода перестройки в Советском Союзе, дана оценка первым шагам на пути к установлению принципов демократии и отмечена противоречивость реализованных властью мер.
