نبذة مختصرة : The main aim of this paper is to introduce a new three-phase insulating material consisting of a low viscosity epoxy resin (3750 LV) with dispersed magnesium oxide (MgO) nanoparticles with a surface treatment by silane coupling agent (γ-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane) and a polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) carrier. The new insulating material is synthesized with the aim of eliminating the interface by replacing of mica paper by dispersed nanoparticles in the polymer base. Furthermore, this proposed material has comparable dielectric properties such as volume resistivity, dielectric strength or loss factor under normal conditions. Compared to commercially available materials, it stands out for its resistance to partial discharges.
