نبذة مختصرة : The text analyses the role of food in films "Kika" and "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown" by Pedro Almodóvar. According to the author, the food is used in this films as a medium of affects and instincts. This displays in the fact that food express protagonists’ anger, jelousy or lust. In Kika the food is not only the substitute of sexual intercourse, but also a symbolical form of victim’s body usurpation. In "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown" the food channelises negative affects and instincts, and helps protagonists control people who are potentially dangerous for them.
