The choice of this theme is related to the finding of lack of word on the subject in that region. The research is qualitative in nature and their analysis is reflected in the histotical-critical perspective. The word had as main objectives: to analyze how the practice is carried out of the educator of youth and adults in the State School in the municipality of Pedro Teixeira Tabatinga - Am, and reflect on the policies undertaken by the Brazilian govemment for teacher training. The methodological procedures followed steps: literature, non-participant, observation techniques used by teachers to make the realization of his teaching, application forms to 8 (eight) teachers and 94 (ninety four) students of the 3rd. years of high school youth and adults of the night shift. In addition to application forms for teachers, held semi-structured interviews with six of the night professionals involved in research work in this mode of teaching, as well as its practices still reproduce the focus of traditional pedagogy. Although perceived effort of these teachers overcome this educational dimension. I think it is necessary to show the contradictions because the work shows, although no specific training, teachers strive to do their job the Best way possible. Identifield yet, the conditions for the realization of teaching are insuffcient in order to enhance the teaching-leaming process in adult education. Finally, we believe it necessary to prioritize the Field of public policy actions aimed at taining and development of education professionals. O presente trabalho analisa a pr??xis docente na Educa????o de Jovens e Adultos EJA. A escolha da tem??tica est?? relacionada com a constata????o da inexist??ncia de trabalhos sobre o tema na regi??o do Alto Solim??es. A pesquisa ?? de natureza qualitativa e sua an??lise est?? consubstanciada na perspectiva hist??rico-cr??tica. O trabalho teve como objetivos principais: analisar de que maneira se realiza a pr??xis do educador da educa????o de jovens e adultos na Escola Estadual Pedro Teixeira no munic??pio de Tabatinga - Am. Refletir sobre as pol??ticas p??blicas empreendidas pelo Estado brasileiro para a forma????o docente. Nos procedimentos metodol??gicos adotamos os seguintes passos: levantamento bibliogr??fico, observa????o n??o participante das t??cnicas utilizadas pelos docentes para a realiza????o do seu fazer pedag??gico, aplica????o de formul??rios a 8 (oito) docentes e a 94 (noventa e quatro) discentes do 3??. ano do ensino m??dio da educa????o de jovens e adultos do turno noturno. Al??m da aplica????o dos formul??rios aos docentes, realizamos entrevista semi-estruturada com 6 (seis) dos 8 (oito) profissionais envolvidos no trabalho de investiga????o. Os resultados desse trabalho de pesquisa revelam que todos os professores envolvidos no processo de ensino e aprendizagem n??o possuem forma????o espec??fica para atuarem nesta modalidade de ensino EJA, bem como suas pr??ticas, ainda reproduzem o enfoque da Pedagogia Tradicional, embora seja percept??vel o esfor??o desses docentes superarem esta dimens??o educativa. Penso que seja necess??rio mostrar as contradi????es, porque o trabalho revela, embora n??o tenham forma????o espec??fica, os professores procuram realizar seu trabalho da melhor maneira poss??vel. Identificamos ainda, que as condi????es para a realiza????o do trabalho docente s??o insuficientes, no sentido de potencializar o processo de ensino e aprendizagem na EJA. Por fim, acreditamos ser necess??rio priorizar no campo das pol??ticas p??blicas a????es voltadas para a forma????o e valoriza????o dos profissionais da educa????o de jovens e adultos.
